Pittsburgh noise pop band feeble little horse will play this year's Coachella festival, April 12–14 and April 19–21, in Palm Springs, California.
"feeling grateful being able to represent pittsburgh with a project we’re proud of," wrote flh drummer, Jake Kelley, in an email.
Formed in Oakland by Pitt students Ryan Walchonski and Sebastian Kinsler in 2021, flh released their second album, Girl with Fish, last June on Saddle Creek Records to much critical acclaim. No Ripcord wrote that Girl with Fish “cues [flh] up to be one of the biggest bands working in indie rock right now.”
The band cancelled a three-week summer tour shortly after the album release, citing personal reasons, and this Coachella date marks a much-anticipated return. The band honed their sound at Oakland house venues like The Deli and played a New Year's Day set last year at Club Cafe.
Now in its 23rd year, this year's Coachella is headlined by Lana Del Rey, Tyler, The Creator, and Doja Cat. feeble little horse will play both Sundays of the fest, which takes place on consecutive 3-day weekends.
"im excited to see lil uzi vert, militarie gun, and japanese house," Kelley wrote. "not sure what we'll get into the week between performances, since ryan and i have to work remotely while seb and lyd study for finals."
